The selected firm will provide construction drawings and project management through the completion of construction. This will require regular meetings with City staff and the construction team. The construction team will be selected through a closed bid process, but the selected architectural firm will be expected to participate in the bid process by being available to respond to questions from bidders Qualified firms for professional Architectural and Engineering Services for the design and construction of a new fire station The City will be constructing a fourth fire station off of Sierra College Boulevard and Stadium Way. The station will be located in the College District and expected to adhere to the architectural standards of the design district. This station will be constructed on an approximately 2-acre parcel directly adjacent to Sierra Community College, and will provide coverage for east Rocklin (see section 4.3 Proposed Site Location). Project elements will be finalized through the design process; however, it is anticipated that Station 22 at a minimum should include: o Three (3) Pull Through Apparatus Bays o Dorm Rooms for Four (4) Fire Personnel with restroom and showers o A common or day area with a kitchen o Office space o Fitness room o Turnout Storage Room o Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus refill station o Backup generator Additional specifications about Station 22 can be found in section 4.4 Site and Building Criteria. The selection committee will make a recommendation to the approving authority. The total budget for this project is estimated to be between $17,000,000 and $20,000,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
