Coral Gables Congregational UCC is seeking proposals to repair/replace clay barrel tile roofs on the historic church building at 3010 De Soto Blvd. Coral Gables, FL. We seek a roofing company with significant experience providing roofing services for historical buildings in Florida. Proposals should include examples of clay tile roofs your company has installed on other area buildings in the past 10 years. Please provide separate bids on each of three project phases. Scope excludes flat roofs. Approximate dimensions of clay tile roofs in scope: PHASE 1 (to begin late Fall, 2023): Sanctuary roof 4,900 sq.ft. of barrel tile; Roof varies from approx. 12' to 40' above ground. PHASE 2 (start date tbd) Tower roof 450 sq.ft. of barrel tile. Pinnacle of the tower is approx. 87' high. PHASE 3 (start date tbd): Cloister roof approx. 3,750 sq.ft. of barrel tile roofing. Cloister roof is 15' above the ground. Specify procedures for preparing surfaces, materials used (including, but not limited to) clay tiles, adhesive, underlayment, and site maintenance and cleanup. Must be familiar with City of Coral Gables construction and permitting requirements as well as state, county and local historical preservation standards.
