The work to be performed consists of furnishing all materials and equipment and performing all labor necessary for the following as outlined in the specifications and contract documents: 1. Exterior pressure wash and cleaning and coating of the interior of the 0.3 MG Boiling Springs elevated water storage tank. 2. Exterior pressure wash and cleaning and coating of the interior of the 0.4 MG New Cut Road elevated water storage tank. 3. Washout and/or completion of miscellaneous repairs to six (6) elevated water storage tanks and washout and/or completion of miscellaneous repairs to two (2) ground storage tanks. Technical questions on bid room operations should be directed to Duncan-Parnell at (800) 8497708 and ask for an eServices Administrator. Partial sets of the Bidding Documents will not be available. Any Contractor bidding on the project must obtain Contract Documents from Duncan-Parnell as outlined above. A list of plan holders is available from the Engineer (Wiedeman and Singleton, Inc.). In no event will contract documents be issued later than three (3) days prior to the hour and date set for receiving bids. All bids must be accompanied by a certified check, or a bid bond of a reputable bonding company authorized to do business in the State of South Carolina, in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. The bid bond shall be prepared on the form of the bid bond attached to the Contract Documents or a surety company's standard bid bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of South Carolina. No bid will be considered unless the bidder is legally qualified under the provisions of the South Carolina Contractor's Licensing Law (South Carolina Code of Laws as amended on April 1, 1999, Chapter 11, Sections 40-11-10 through 40-11-428). All bids shall be submitted as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. A 100% Payment Bond and 100% Performance Bond will be required of the successful bidder. Refer to other bidding requirements described in Invitation for Bids/Information for Bidders. No submitted bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids and to waive informalities.
