The Kananaskis Region has approximately 250 paved parking facilities throughout the region in Campgrounds, Day Use Areas, and Trailheads. At these sites, there is a requirement for surface lines to be repainted, including but not limited to lane markings, parking spot lines, roadway markings and informational markings. Alberta Parks requires a contractor to provide professional painting services to parking lot surfaces throughout The Kananaskis Region. The scope of work is as follows: 1. Repaint parking lot and road surfaces as directed by the Alberta Parks Project Manager in paved areas located throughout the region. This may include lane markings, parking spot lines, handicap parking identifiers and informational markings. 2. The contractor will apply Innis High Performance Traffic Paint using a Graco Line Laser or equivalent as approved by the Department's Representative. 3. Surfaces will be cleaned prior to application as required. 4. Surfaces shall be painted to match existing unless otherwise specified. 5. The Departments Representative reserves the right to supply any or all materials required to perform any required work. 6. All work completed to comply with all applicable trade and building codes. 7. All work completed will comply with the paint manufacturer's recommendation in regards to air and surface temperatures during application. 8. All work will be reviewed at time of completion to ensure quality of workmanship and supply of materials prior to payment. 9. The Contractor will provide at his expense all tools, labour and equipment to perform the duties of this service. 10. The Department reserves the right to identify types and colors of materials to be used. 11. All items around or attached to the surface to be painted shall be removed or covered to avoid paint splatter or marking and any debris. This includes windows, wall-mounted light fixtures (be sure to turn the power supply off), window and door screens, plumbing outlets, electrical covers, mailboxes, street address numbers, downspouts, walkways and trees or vegetation. 12. Ensure the worksite is maintained in a clean, orderly and safe condition at all times. 13. Provide photographic and written records detailing work completed, site location, total parking capacityacity.
