The City of Iron Mountain is seeking bids for the construction of the 2023 Local Paving Project that includes the following major items of work: o 30,500 square yards of HMA crushing and shaping o 5,100 tons of HMA paving. The City of Iron Mountain reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids at its discretion. No bid shall be accepted unless accompanied by a bid security payable to The City of Iron Mountain in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid. Prevailing wage rates will not be required for this project. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. 7.02 Addenda may be issued to clarify, correct, supplement, or change the Bidding Documents.
