The City of Independence, Missouri Water Department invites bids from firms to provide for, but not be limited to, all equipment, materials, and workmanship required for the proper supply and installation of new lime slaking units and ancillary equipment. Question Deadline: 08/29/2023. Please submit all questions regarding this Invitation to Bid online. Contractor to whom the work is awarded shall be required to furnish a one (1) year Payment, Performance, and Maintenance Bond to the City. Each bond shall be executed on the form included with the invitation to bid posting, signed and sealed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Missouri, and acceptable as surety to the City. With each bond there shall be filed with the City one (1) copy of the power-of-attorney certified to include the date of the bond. The City reserves the right to award the contract on such materials or services as the City deems will best serve its interests. The City reserves the right to award the contract on a partia order basis, lumpsum or individual item basis, or such combination as shall best serve the interest of the City unless otherwise specified. Conditional bids, including bids in are subject to rejection in whole or in part at the sole discretion of the City. Bids that take exception to the Citys Terms and Conditions shall be rejected.
