The project and construction budget as listed in this RFQ is estimated. The Program of Requirements has been developed by the University - Institute for Materials Research, so design will commence with Program Verification. The selected Construction Manager at Risk, as a portion of its required Scope of Services and prior to submitting its proposal, will discuss and clarify with the Contracting Authority/Owner, the breakdown of the Agreement detailed cost components, to address the Owner's project requirements and refine the project schedule. Participate in the Encouraging Diversity, Growth & Equity (EDGE) Program as required by statute and the Agreement. This project will renovate 25,560 Sq Ft of warehouse space at 1305 Kinnear Road. The initial layout of the new space has already been determined and will be a Battery Pilot and Prototyping Lab. The Lab will contain a series of ISO 7 clean and dry rooms to accommodate solid state battery production. The battery production equipment is highly defined to complete the needed processes and will be provided by the Institute for Materials Research. The project will be a collaborative effort between OSU and industry partners to achieve the goals of the department. Estimated project cost : $20,000,000 Construction Stage Notice to Proceed : 4 / 2024 Substantial Completion of all Work : 4 / 2025 The Contracting Authority reserves the right to reject all proposals and cancel at any time for any reason this solicitation, any portion of this solicitation or any phase of the Project. The Contracting Authority shall have no liability to any proposer arising out of such cancellation or rejection. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to waive minor variations in the selection process.
