SCOPE: The work covered by the provisions of this Agreement consists of furnishing all labor, tools, equipment, and transportation necessary to install chilled water pipe insulation on Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and/or their components and subcomponents for a specified location. Coordinate installation/repair time with authorized Government personnel. Collect materials from the authorized Government representative. Complete the job in accordance with all federal, state, and local codes. Prove functional operations prior to payment. Installation services include, but are not limited to: Install chilled water line insulation over/around valves, actuators, pipes, fittings, sensors, heat tape, and other related components. QUALIFICATIONS: The contractor shall be a trained HVAC Insulation contractor licensed in the state of North Carolina. Workers shall have the HVAC knowledge equivalent to at least the journeyman level of workmanship. MATERIALS: The contractor will be responsible for providing a list of all materials for quoted job to 4 CES, 4 CES will procure the materials. The material will consist of fiberglass insulation with smooth aluminum jacket for the outdoor installation, and fiberglass insulation with plastic jacket indoors. Hydronic piping shall be insulated to a minimum thickness as required by ANSI/ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1, UFC 3-430-01, and UFC 3-430-09. See pictures below for an example. LOCATION: Work to be accomplished is at the specific building HVAC system on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, Goldsboro, NC or Blakeslee Rec Area at Kure Beach, NC SECURITY: Work areas involving Secret and Top Secret items will have a Government representative present at all times. WORK WEEK: The contractor will be required to work during normal duty hours, 0700-1600, Monday-Friday. After hours work can be approved by a Government representative. WORKMANSHIP: All workmanship shall comply with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), ANSI/ASHRAE/IESNA Standards. The contractor shall provide all qualified personnel, equipment, and services required to install or repair HVAC systems. CLEAN UP: The contractor is responsible to return all work sites back to their original condition when finished with their project. TIME OF PERFORMANCE: The contractor will be shown the job site and informed of the requirements. The contractor shall be available to begin work within two (2) days from order award. The Government will not pay for travel time to and from the jobsite. WARRANTY: The contractor will guarantee all workmanship for a period of one year from completion of work. The contractor will be responsible for any damage to Government facilities resulting from their work. If damages are incurred, the contractor will supply skilled craftsmen and materials to make repairs.
