The procedure for withdrawal of bids shall be according to paragraph 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia. The project generally consists of removing and replacing four (4) PTAC units and seventy-nine (79) HVAC split system heat pumps complete with new exterior disconnects, new condensate pumps where existing pumps are located and new thermostats. Existing refrigerant piping shall remain. Units will connect to existing ductwork scheduled to remain. The Contract will be awarded on a lump sum basis. Bid security is required to be submitted with each Bid in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid. Bid security may be in the form of a certified check or a bid bond secured by a surety company. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount will be required on this project.
