The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 29th, 2023, at Refugio City Hall, 613 Commerce Street, Refugio, Texas 78377. Major items of work include the following: The project consists of replacing Corrugated Metal Roof, Porcelain Urinal, Porcelain Sink, Porcelain Toilets, Metal Bar Door, Wood Framing, and CMU Blocks in accordance with the contract documents, technical specifications, and plans. Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications are on file at 613 Commerce Street, Refugio, Texas 78377. Both fees represent reproduction costs and are non-refundable. We reserve the right to process checks electronically by transmitting the amount of the check, routing number, account number, and check serial number to your financial institution. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Town of Refugio, Texas, or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. The Town of Refugio, Texas encourages bids from small, minority, and female owned businesses (HUBs/Historically Underutilized Business). All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared with the System for Award Management. not suspended, debarred, or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to the contractor. Registration with SAM is not required. Lump sum bids will be rejected. The Town of Refugio, Texas reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by Town of Refugio, Texas for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders qualifications prior to the contract award.
