1) Remove and dispose of existing chain link fencing approximately 2,300 linear ft including all post, gates, tens wire and top rail. 2) Be sure to cut all post at the bottom flush with concrete retaining wall and back fill all bore holes from existing post with a non-shrink grout. 3) Be sure to cut the post flush with or below dirt grade and backfill holes as necessary (dirt or grout). 4) All overgrown vegetation must be removed prior to the installation of new fencing bushes, limbs, small trees vines etc. 5) All post must be set in a wet mix concrete. A dry mix with water added later is not acceptable. 6) The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and appurtenances necessary for the installation of a smoot top 3 rail ornamental iron fence. 7) Upon receipt at the job site, all materials shall be checked to ensure that no damage occurred during shipping and handling. 8) Materials shall be stored in a manner to ensure proper protection against damage, weather, vandalism and 9) Fence post shall be spaced according to plus or minus 1/2. For installations that must be raked to follow slow grades, the post spacing dimensions must be measured along with grade. Slope the top of concrete footer a from fence post to allow for water runoff. Fence panels shall be attached to post with brackets supplied by manufacturer. Post shall be set in concrete footers having a minimum depth of 24 inches and a minimum w of at least four times the diameter of the fence post. 10) Post setting by other methods such as plated post or grouted core drilled footer are permissible if pre-appr by AHA staff. 11) Steel materials for fence framework shall be tubular pickets, rails and post. 12) The minimum height of all fences will be 4 feet except for specific areas identified in this scope. The City of Arkadelphia Housing Authority request SEALED bids from qualified firms to provide the Housing development with the goods, and services required to purchase and install smooth flat top 3 rail black iron ornamental fence at 3 site locations totaling approximately 2600 linear feet as well as demo existing chain link.
