The Contractor shall perform all Work required by the Contract Documents for Roof & Fascia Board Repair and Replacement prepared by the Reverse Architecture acting as and referred to in the Contract Documents as the Prime Designer. The Winchester Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the 667-2 Roof and Fascia Board Repair and Replacement, #344047 in Winchester, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by Reverse Architecture. The Project consists of: roofing and sheathing replacement on two buildings in the development, which both require mold remediation, new attic insulation, and ventilation improvements. Exterior improvements include the replacement of soffit and fascia boards, and gutters. There are 3 alternates. The work is estimated to cost $270,000. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, General Building Construction, and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Winchester Housing Authority. The bids are to be prepared and submitted electronically. Tutorials and instructions on how to complete the electronic bid documents are available electronically Otherwise the deposit shall be the property of the Awarding Authority. Additional sets may be purchased for $50.00 Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $40.00 per set for UPS Ground (or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight), non- refundable, payable electronically General bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the supplier diversity office (SDO), formerly known as SOMWBA. The combined participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 10.4% of the final contract price including accepted alternates. Request for waivers must be sent to DHCD (David.Mcclave@mass.Gov) 5 calendar days prior to the general bid date if the work is estimated to cost less than $500,000 or 10 calendar days prior to the general bid date if the work is estimated to cost $500,000 or more - No waivers will be granted after the bid date.
