**As of October 27, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The Scope of work for this Contract comprises of the reconstruction and betterment of two street ends, Maple Avenue and Spicer Avenue, in the City of Wildwood. Both street ends require the demolition of the pavement and other elements of the street end to make way for the proposed improvements. The City proposes to reconfigure the street ends by creating concrete pedestrian access tunnels under the boardwalk leading to a new ADA compliant ramps on the beach side of the boardwalk. Both street ends improvements include, but are not limited to, new themed concrete sidewalks and access paths, drainage improvements, new raised landscaping beds with new plantings, new split rail fencing, new floating benches attached to the raised landscaping beds, the repurposing of the existing bike racks, new trash receptacles, new curbing, new beachside ADA compliant ramps, existing concrete spall repairs and coating, new railings, new vertical composite planking cladding of the street end ramps, milling and paving of the street, relocation and resetting of utilities, etc. Maple Avenue also includes the replacement of the Southernly concrete ramp/boardwalk at the street end. The ramp is to be removed from the building and the building is to be repaired along the whole northerly side then parged and painted to match the existing building color. The removed ramp is to be replaced with a new boardwalk / stair with concrete substructure and timber framing and decking that is 8'-0" wide with steps back down to the street level. Lastly a new LED information sign is to be constructed at Spicer Avenue. The Owner will award one contract for this project. Awarding of the Contract with the Notice to Proceed is anticipated for mid-September 2023. No on-site construction activities may commence until October 10, 2023. Substantial Completion on this contract shall be completed by April 19, 2024. The Construction Duration on this contract is 192 Calendar Days.Bid must be accompanied by a statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the City and either a Bid Bond or a Certified Check drawn to the order of Treasurer of the City of Wildwood for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check need not exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder is hereby notified that a performance bond for the full amount of the project is required. The award of the Contract for this project will not be made until the necessary funds have been provided by the City of Wildwood in a lawful manner. By virtue of Executive Order #34 (1976), vendors currently suspended, debarred or disqualified are excluded from participating on this project. Proposals for this Contract will only be accepted from bidders who have properly qualified in accordance with the requirements of the Contract documents. The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the City. The right is also reserved to increase or decrease the quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. The successful bidder shall be required to comply with the following: A. Affirmative Action requirements (P.L. 1975, C.127, N.J.S.A. 10:5-1 et seq.). B. The provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.). C. Anti-Kickback Regulations under Section 2 of the Act of June 13, 1934, known as the Copeland Act. D. Worker and Community Right-to-Know Act (N.J.A.A. 34:5A-1). Moreover, the bid must be accompanied by a list of names and addresses of all stockholders owning 10% or more of the stock in accordance with the provisions of the Public Disclosure Law (P.L. 1988, C.33, N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2).
