As of October 26, 2023, bids remain under evaluation. An exact date for an award has not been announced. The Project consists of the following major elements for Contract 1 - McFarland Avenue Sewers, Contract 2 - McFarland Avenue Force Main, and Contract 3 - Mission Glen Pump Station and Force Main. Contract 1 includes construction of approximately 5,500 linear feet of gravity flow sewer, manholes, 3,500 linear feet of 16-inch force main, a TRIPLEX submersible pumping station and all associated appurtenances for a complete installation. Contract 2 includes construction of approximately 26,400 linear feet of 16-inch force main and all associated appurtenances for a complete installation. Contract 3 includes construction of approximately 7,300 linear feet of 14-inch force main, 100 linear feet of gravity flow sewer, manholes, a DUPLEX submersible pumping station and all associated appurtenances for a complete installation. A Bid Bond of 5% of the total project cost is to be included in the proposal package. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds with the executed Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to the Agreement. The terms and time for payment are set forth in the Agreement. Walker County Water & Sewerage Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, to waive formalities, technicalities or irregularities and to re-advertise if necessary.
