The work includes sidewalk improvements within City Council District 2 in the City of North Charleston. Construction of Package 2A includes the following: . 625 linear feet of sidewalk along the west side of Brandywine Road from Ashley Phosphate Road (S-75) to Mountainbrook Avenue . 160 linear feet of sidewalk along the west side of Brandywine Road from Stoneybrook Road to the adjacent school property (Pepperhill Elementary and Park) . 500 linear feet of sidewalk along the southeast side of Broadmoore Place from Peppercorn Lane to Picardy Place . 860 linear feet of sidewalk along the south side of Creola Road from Picardy Place to Northhaven Drive . 105 linear feet of sidewalk along the east side of Desoto Drive from Jean Rebault Drive to the end of an existing sidewalk near Discovery Road . 280 linear feet of sidewalk along the south side of Eller Street from Eberly Avenue to Kittery Avenue . 120 linear feet of new sidewalk on the north side of Fassitt Road from Stall Road to an existing sidewalk on the adjacent property (in front of Airport Commerce Center) . 750 linear feet of sidewalk along the south side of Mountainbrook Avenue from Peppercorn Lane to Plantation Road . 890 linear feet of sidewalk along the north side of Nantuckett Avenue from Kittery Avenue to the end of the existing sidewalk on Nantuckett Avenue just past New England Drive . 1,180 linear feet of sidewalk along the north side of Newport Place from Kittery Avenue to the end of the existing sidewalk on Newport Place just past Nova Court . 420 linear feet of sidewalk along the northwest side of Norwalk Drive from Northside Drive to Nantuckett Avenue . 230 linear feet of sidewalk along the southeast side of Oak Leaf Drive from Northside Drive to the existing sidewalk at the community center . 1,830 linear feet of sidewalk along the northeast side of Picardy Place from Peppercorn Lane to Stoneybrook Road Before a bid is considered for award, the bidder may be required to submit a statement of qualifications in detail as for his previous experience in performing similar or comparable work, and of his business and technical organization and financial resources and availability for performing the contemplated work. Bidders must make positive efforts to use small, minority, and women-owned businesses. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond made payable to the Owner, for an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the total Bid as a guarantee that, if the Bid is accepted, the required Agreement will be executed and that a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond will be furnished.
