The Transportation Department of the City of Pasadena is seeking a company to perform all engineering, labor, materials, transportation, services, and equipment necessary and reasonably incidental to perform the work required to modernize eight elevators in six City owned garages and perform on ongoing preventative maintenance services subsequent to the completion of work. The deadline to submit questions related to this solicitation is Wednesday, August 30, 2023, prior to 3:00 pm. Questions regarding this solicitation should be submitted directly through the City's eProcurement Portal Q&A function. Do not contact any other City employee or official regarding this solicitation. Any questions submitted after the date and time specified may not be considered. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price in the form of a surety bond, meeting City requirements, must accompany all bids. If the Bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall for fifteen (15) calendar days after such award fail or neglect to enter into the contract and file the required bonds, the City may deposit in its treasury said bid security and, under no circumstances, shall it be returned to the defaulting Bidder. Performance Bonds Required: 100% Labor & Materials Bonds Required: 100% There is a separate packet of forms as part of these specifications that a bidder must complete to establish compliance with a number of special City of Pasadena requirements, including, but not limited to, Equal Employment and Affidavit of Non Collusion. These forms and their instructions should be considered an integral part of the specifications and failure to complete them shall be grounds, in the sole discretion of the City, for rejection of any bidder.
