It is the intent of this bid to select a Contractor to refurbish fencing at the Fields 10 and ll located at the Grand Park Athletic Complex, Fields 10 and 11, 1050 Forbus Court, Myrtle Beach 29577. The successful Bidder must obtain a City of Myrtle Beach business license in order to conduct business within our city. A business license is not required to submit a bid; however, any bidder that receives an award under this bid shall be required to obtain a City business license before work can begin. For further information on obtaining a city business license, contact the City Business License Office at 843-918-1200. The Contractor will be responsible for: - Removing the existing galvanized fencing (approximately 2,440 feet), posts and gates. - Priming and painting the backstop/dugout including all backstop post/cross bars and dugout posts/cross bars. (The existing backstop and dugout post and cross bars will not be removed. However, all backstop and and dugout posts that are bent will be replaced.) - Installing new mesh on backstops and dugouts. - Installing black vinyl coated fencing with black powder coated post and top rail for Fields "10", "11" and around the parking lot. Approximately 845 feet of 4-foot high, 1,365 feet of 8-foot high, 230 feet of 20-foot high new fencing, per field, will be required. This fencing will be down both fail lines and outfields of both fields. Fence to be installed must have the following: - Outfield and dugout fence mesh will be 9-gauge core with 6-gauge finish in black vinyl - Backstop fence mesh will be 6-gauge core finish in black vinyl - 4-foot fencing around parking lot will be 9-gauge core with 6-gauge finish in black vinyl - Fence ties will be 9-gauge, spaced 12 inches apart - Bottom band will be 7-gauge wire, finish in black vinyl - Hog Rings will be spaced 12 inches apart Posts and Top Rail to be installed must have the following: - All post and top rail will be SS40 black powder coated - Line post will be 2-1/2 inch black powder coated - Corner and gate post will be 4-inch black powder coated - All post must be three (3) feet deep in a 12 inch diameter hole - All post holes must be filled with concrete - Backstop post must be painted with black exterior paint Gates to be installed must have the following: - All gates must be built from SS40 pipe and black powder coated - One (1) twelve-foot roll gate at Field "10" - One (1) twelve-foot roll gates at Field "11" - Two (2) ten-foot roll gates to make a twenty-foot opening will be installed in the four-foot fencing -There will be four (4) four-foot openings with no gates in the four-foot fencing.
