West Sacramento shares the Sacramento River with neighboring Sacramento, with the deep water ship canal serving the Port of Sacramento. Incorporated in 1987, West Sacramento encompasses approximately 22 square miles, with a population just over 53,000 people. The City is full-service with nine (9) departments and over 400 full-time employees. The City provides the full range of municipal services including police and fire protection, park, street, fleet, and facility maintenance, economic development and housing, community development, capital projects, and parks and recreation. The City also provides water, wastewater, and solid waste services. The City of West Sacramento is seeking proposals to secure the services of an experienced and reliable contractor to repair the existing WEST Sign at the Mill Street Pier in the Bridge District. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The sign repair scope of work consists of the following: Remove and replace (e) ball joint, bolts, and nuts. Remove and replace (e) ball joint mounting plate on large cam plate Provide a (n) ball joint mounting plate on small cam plate. Provide new sign rotation limiters to prevent sign from rotating more than 9o degrees. Provide or relocate positioning plate. Replace positioning switches. Provide new mounting brackets. Provide a new safety switch Provide cold rolled, 12"x2"x1/8" around three sides of base plate and flat bar on front side of cover plate to prevent water infiltration. Replace maintenance access cover screws with same thread type and length. Replace with star head screws. Replace elbow at electrical box. Inspect gear reduction box for oil leak and fix/replace as needed. Provide an override switch inside the control box to allow testing of the system.
