Written requests for interpretation are requested by 4:00 PM on Friday, August 25, 2023. Requests must be submitted via PennBid. Reading Area Community College (RACC) is seeking Bids from qualified Environmental Contractors to prepare land for the construction of a parking lot. The work will be performed under a Single Prime Contract and consists of excavation and disposal of 10" of topsoil from specified areas. The soil will be replaced with 2A stone to stabilize the area once excavated and in preparation for the College's paving contractor to complete the parking lot. The property is the subject of an environmental covenant, due to remediation of environmental contamination, which was capped with paving. The work area is a DEP-approved Act 2 attainment site, and therefore the provisions of a Soil Management Plan and contractor Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) safety requirements will apply to this project.
