Mishkeegogamang First Nation is proceeding with upgrades to the existing treatment plant in the community of New Osnaburgh. The community is located 40 km south of Pickle Lake, Ontario. The reserve lands are accessible year-round via Highway 599. The general scope of work consists of the following: - Expansion of an existing water treatment plant and underground concrete reservoir. The building expansion will be a pre-engineered steel building with a building footprint of 19 m x 17 m over a 690 cubic metre concrete reservoir expansion; - Renovate the existing 168 square metres water treatment plant building - Installation of a pre-selected hollow fibre nano filtration membrane treatment system with a capacity of 1,028 cubic metres per day - Supply and installation of new raw water pumping systems, distribution pumping systems, chemical feed systems, process piping and UV disinfection system - Supply and installation of new lighting, heating, and ventilation systems - Installation of a pre-purchased genset and MCC - Careful staging of upgrades is required to allow the existing water treatment plant to operate without interruption. The General Contractor will be required to retain a certified water treatment plant operator to operate the new water treatment plant during portions of construction - Underground piping works including the following approximate quantities: 800 m of water service piping to service 43 new lots 660 m of 150 mm mainline watermain piping 600 cubic meters of bedrock trench blasting 400 m of new raw water piping between the wet well and the water treatment plant - Installation for process wastewater and reject water settling tanks and associated underground piping - The water treatment system and SCADA system has been pre-arranged with Delco Water. General Contractor to sign a Novation Agreement and coordinate installation and commissioning works with Delco Water - The MCC and Genset equipment has been pre-ordered under a separate supply contract. General Contractor to sign a Novation Agreement and coordinate installation and commissioning works MCC and Genset Supplier. Mishkeegogamang First Nation reserves the right to accept any or all submissions and/or to re-issue this RFPQ to additional proponents as needed to ensure adequate competition. Only those General Contractors that Mishkeegogamang First Nation deems qualified from this pre-qualification process will be invited to submit tender bids for this project.
