Reference Number 0000327155 The City of Steamboat is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors for the construction of a storage building at the Public Works property 850 Critter Court (see attached map.) The project will consist of the construction of a steel pole-building style structure. Questions are submitted online Yes no later than 5:00 PM, August 22, 2023. Responses to all questions shall be issued in the form of an addendum no later than 5:00 PM, August 24, 2023. General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Insurance Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % 1. Scope of Work A. General Requirements a. Construct a 96'x36' steel sided storage with a front opening height of 16' b. Draft a set of plans to be approved by the Facilities Manager prior to applying for the required building permits. c. Contractor is responsible for obtaining and covering the cost for all needed building permits. d. This building site is located inside of City limits e. City will have the building pad rough graded per attached graded and drainage plan. f. Contractor is responsible for the construction material debris removal and temporary toilet facilities for workers. B. Excavation & Foundation Work a. Any clean spoil material generated during the excavation process can be spread onsite b. Contractor to determine a foundation method that will meet required permit applications at no additional cost C. Framing and Structural Steel a. Furnishing and install all materials to construct the storage building b. Furnish and install trusses with a 1' overhang on all sides of the building. D. Metal Siding and Roofing a. 26-gauge metal roofing and siding panels, drip edge, fascia, and J-channel shall be used for all construction b. All exterior surfaces shall be finished with steel siding, soffit, facia, or trim in some manner. The only non-finished surfaces shall be that of the building interior. c. Building shall be tan in color to best match other buildings on site. E. Project Schedule a. Project completion is required by August 31 st, 2024. F. Submittals a. City of Steamboat Springs Facilities approval is required for the following items: i. A set of plans that the contractor will use to submit for required permits within 21 days of contact award. ii. Building sheeting material samples (base color and trim color) G. Environmental Compliance a. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to comply with EPA requirements including protection of workers and the environment from constructionrelated contamination including, but not limited to timber, saw dust, concrete and fasteners. Contractor is liable for all consequences and remediation if non-compliant.
