All bids must be received in a separate and sealed envelope or folder for each contract and clearly labeled "Sludge Pump Replacement Project" and the respective contract number. The general description of the Work includes, but is not limited to the following: Sludge Pump Replacement Project: Replacement of three (3) existing return sludge pumps and two (2) existing excess sludge pumps; installation of 8" and 4" magnetic flow meters; replacement of two (2) existing flow meter readouts; installation of 6" flanged thrust collars on existing wall and floor penetrations; installation of new communication wiring and conduits; installation of new VFD wiring and conduits; reconnection of electrical components including but not limited to: float switches, VFDs, and power; installation of any incidental piping modifications required; and any other appurtenances or miscellaneous work items for a complete and fully operational installation. Any aluminum or steel products to be furnished or used for the Project under any Contract shall comply with the Pennsylvania "Trade Practices Act" (71 P.S. 773, 101, et.seq.). The Mon Valley Sewage Authority may during the bidding period make certain changes that may alter the plans and specifications. Bidders shall receive addenda for such revisions and any such addenda will become part of the contract documents. The Mon Valley Sewage Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in any bids should it consider same to be in its best interest. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) days after date of receiving bids.
