As of September 20,2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Installation of a municipal storm drain in the rear yards of several private properties to connect to a Montgomery County storm drain. The Resketch Drainage Improvement Project consists of the installation of a new closed storm drain system within the Cedar Parkway right-of-way (ROW) and 8 privately-owned contiguous parcels along West Irving Street. The project will address poor drainage conditions along the rear property lines of the privately-owned parcels. The project will replace a portion of the County maintained storm drain system on Cedar Parkway, including two curb opening inlets. WSSC, Washington Gas, and PEPCO utilities will need to be relocated or protected during the storm drain installation. This project includes 0.25 acres of disturbances associated with new RCP and HDPE storm drain pipe, new inlets, new manholes and three access points for construction. The Contractor will be responsible for the site clearing, tree removal or protection, storm drain construction, water main relocation, coordination with Washington Gas to protect their utility, erosion and sediment control and site stabilization with turf grass establishment. Access is provided from 3 separate residential driveways; 5815 Cedar Parkway, 30 W. Irving Street and 21 Resketch Street. Trimming of trees and shrubs may be required along the access routes. Following review of written bids submitted to the Village, some or all of the bidders may be requested to appear before the Village Manager and/or his/her staff to discuss its bid and answer any questions the Village may have with respect to the bid or the bidder's qualifications for this project.
