The work to be performed under this contract generally includes all work necessary in removing thickened anaerobically digested sludge produced by the LRSA treatment plant and transporting it to an authorized off-site location for disposal for a one-year period with two (2) one year period renewal options. Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or acceptable bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the amount of the bid, made payable to the Linden Roselle Sewerage Authority but in no case to exceed $20,000.00. Each Bid shall be furnished with a Consent of Surety meeting the requirements of NJSA 2A:44-143 et seq. for furnishing performance and payment bonds in the forms provided in the Contract Documents The Successful Bidder must furnish a one hundred (100%) Performance Bond and a (one hundred) 100% Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. Bidders may not withdraw their Bids for a period of sixty days after the actual date of the opening of the Bids. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. All proposers shall comply with P.L. 1977 c.33 requiring submission of a statement of corporate ownership, P.L. 2022, c.3 requiring Implementing P.L. 2022, c. 3- Prohibition on Dealings with Russia or Belarus-associated Businesses; Update to Iran Investment Certification and P.L. 2004 c.57 requiring submission of a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate. The Owner reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after receipt and to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bid if deemed to be in its best interest in accordance with New Jersey Local Public Contract Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et. seq.
