The Horry County Solid Waste Authority (SWA) currently operates a construction and demolition (C&D) recycling facility on its property located at 1886 SC Hwy 90, Conway, SC 29526. The facility is approximately 160 feet x 60 feet as shown in the aerial photo enclosed in Appendix A. There are 2 rows of internal columns that are support structures for the building. A drawing of the interior dimensions and column locations is included in Appendix B Delivery Point 1886 Highway 90 Conway, South Carolina United States 29526 Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % -- BID BOND - Proposers shall submit with their Proposal (s) a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the total delivered price of the equipment, which guarantee may be in the form of Surety Bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Bank Money Order of any National or State Bank and shall be made payable to the Horry County Solid Waste Authority *The Horry County Solid Waste Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals or any one item in a proposal. Request for Proposals: Phase II Expansion of C&D Recycling Facility Existing Facility Operations The Horry County Solid Waste Authority (SWA) currently operates a construction and demolition (C&D) recycling facility on its property located at 1886 SC Hwy 90, Conway, SC 29526. The facility is approximately 160 feet x 60 feet as shown in the aerial photo enclosed in Appendix A. There are 2 rows of internal columns that are support structures for the building. A drawing of the interior dimensions and column locations is included in Appendix B. The operating environment is an open air design, with some curtains to prevent weather from impacting operations. Loading of materials to be sorted is done on the outside of the building. The environmental conditions inside the building in terms of temperature and humidity will be the same as ambient conditions for Conway, SC. A group of photos has been provided in Appendix C to show the current condition of our operations. Materials Handled The materials handled by the sorting operations include, but are not limited to: 1. Scrap Wood 2. Corrugated Cardboard 3. Scrap Metal 4. Plastics 5. ABC Materials (asphalt, brick and concrete) Materials will be loaded onto a finger screen. The materials will then be metered onto the new lift conveyor from the finger screen at a rate of approximately 15 tons per hour. The new finger screen is on site, and is anticipated to be installed in September of this year. The materials will exit the finger screen from a height of 5'9" onto the new lifting conveyor that will convey materials to a height of approximately 12 feet where the new section of sorting line will be installed. There is approximately 68 feet of internal space for the sorting stations. The OCC baler and other equipment may be moved, but must be quoted as part of this proposal.
