The failure or omission of any bidder to examine any form, instrument or document shall in no way relieve any bidder from any obligation in respect to this bid Scope of Work: The epoxy coating is failing in four concrete vaults at the Airport Road Recycling & Transfer Station. The epoxy coating is peeling or "bubbling" from the structure or is completely gone. The upper portions of the vaults not exposed to water are still intact. The contractor will need to remove loose grout, remove loose epoxy, prepare surfaces, recoat the bottom and sides of the vaults with new epoxy coating that is compatible with the existing coating (Tnemec Series 201 Epoxoprime, Tnemec Series 406 ElastoShield). The estimated total area that needs recoating is: Vault Total 1 Oil-Water Separator 95.64 SF 2 pH Control vault 122.98 SF 3 Settling vault 238.88 SF 4 Lift station 174.96 SF Total 632.51 SF Requirements: Contractor must provide information on the coatings prior to the beginning of work: o Prep time leading up to work o Cure time. Cure time should not exceed 48 hours. o Product specifications o Description of application process Contractor must provide all materials and labor to perform work upon designated areas. Contractor must verify the SF prior to the beginning of work. Contractor responsible for temporarily plugging pipes, pumping, transporting and disposal of leachate. Leachate and sludge may be disposed of at the Snohomish County Vactor Waste Decant Facility for no fee. Contractor to provide a health and safety and/or confined spaces plan. Contractor must attend a pre-work meeting 2 weeks after the bid is awarded to review the scope of work.
