Improvements to the existing effluent disinfection system - Village of Dryden The project consists of improvements to the existing effluent disinfection system at the Village of Dryden WWTP. The existing Sodium Thiosulfate Room located in the Influent Building will be converted into the new Sodium Hypochlorite Room, which will house ten (10) 55 gallon drums of liquid sodium hypochlorite and two chemical feed pumps. Approximately 410 linear feet of 4 inch double wall PVC containment pipe with two (2) 1/2 inch chemical feed carrier tubing lines will be installed from the existing Sodium Thiosulfate Room to the Chlorine Contact Tank. A chemical detection vault/manhole will be installed that contains a 30 gallon containment drum and leak detection sensor. Leak detection sensor will be wired back to the WWTP SCADA/Auto-dialer system to notify the WWTP operators of a chemical leak. Complete site restoration is required. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
