Scope of Work: The Contractor shall provide the following Scope of Work and provide all labor and materials to Resurface existing Bocce Courts at Big Pine Community Park The Big Pine Community Park Bocce Courts are comprised of five (5) 12' X 60' courts. Each court shall be resurfaced in the same manner. a. Remove existing clay and rock base to the substrate, compact and level. b. Install 57 stone crushed rock compacted base, minimum 3" deep. c. Install geotextile landscape fabric barrier over 57 stone d. Install blended Oyster Shell surfacing material, of crushed oyster shell and decomposed granite or equivalent. Surface shall be compacted to 2" and level. e. Install a layer of finely crushed oyster shell flour at a rate of 1/4 to 1/2 pound per square foot. f. Pitch and foul lines shall be installed in accordance with Bocce Ball Regulations. g. Contractor shall verify all dimensions and job site conditions before commencing work. All discrepancies shall be reported to the Monroe County Parks and Beaches contact below. Monroe County ("Owner" or "County") shall enter into a contract with a qualified Contractor to demolish, install and replace certain portions of Big Pine Park Bocce Court Resurfacing at 31009 Atlantis Dr., Big Pine Key, FL 33043. The term of this contract shall commence upon approval and execution of the contract by Monroe County and will terminate upon final completion of the Project as noted herein. Contractor shall commence performance under the contract, which may include applying for a permit if one is required for the Project, within Ten (10) calendar days of the date of issuance to the undersigned by Owner of a Notice to Proceed, Purchase Order, or Task Order. Once commenced, the undersigned shall diligently continue performance until completion of the Project. The undersigned shall accomplish Final Completion of the Project within Thirty (30) days, thereafter, unless an extension of time is granted by the County.
