The County of Fairfax, Virginia, Department of Public Works, and Environmental Services (DPWES) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from engineering consulting firms to provide engineering services and services during construction for rehabilitation and/or replacement of an 8 million gallons per day (MGD) sanitary sewer Braddock Road pump station and the associated force main. These services will include but not be limited to, project management, quality control and health and safety plans, flow analysis, modeling analysis, surge analysis, condition assessment, alternative analysis, preliminary engineering, detailed design, pump station and force main plans and specifications, sustainable design, connection details, surveying, geotechnical, value engineering, public outreach, agency coordination, acquisition of all permits, phased construction, cost estimating, site inspections, and emergency backup and spill response plan, temporary and permanent easement plats, and traffic control plans. Fairfax County is committed to paying a living wage to all qualified County employees and encourages contractors and subcontractors involved in all County programs, services, and activities to pay a living wage to their employees. Further, as part of Fairfax County commitment to protecting the environment, all statement of qualifications must be made of paper product only.
