Salt Lake County, on behalf of the Arts & Culture("A&C") Division / the Community Services Department, "County" is soliciting proposals from qualified firms ("Proposer" or "Architect" or "A/E") to provide design consulting services for a new multi-use performing arts regional cultural center facility ("Project") including public and back-of-house support spaces per the scope of work and requirements below. The County has hired a theatre consultant, The Shalleck Collaborative, which the A/E will be required to work and consult with throughout the project. The Project's proposed location is located within the Daybreak development in South Jordan, Utah; the exact location has yet to be finalized. County intends to hire an Architectural/Engineering Team ("Design Team") to be the Architect of Record. Dependent upon funding, the County plans to construct a regional performing arts facility in the Southwest portion of the county on previously donated land within the next three to five years. Currently, only the Discovery Phase is funded. The Proposer may be selected by the County, without additional competitive solicitation, to provide Architectural and Engineering design services through design, construction administration, and warranty services for the Build Out. If Proposer is selected for the build out, the parties will execute a Short Form Build Out Contract (SFBOC) and County will issue a Notice to Proceed (Exhibit H) to awarded Proposer if County opts to retain Proposer during the Build Out phase. The contract resulting from this solicitation will become effective on the date of execution of the resulting agreement (the Effective Date) and will terminate July 31, 2029, unless terminated sooner as provided in the resulting agreement as per the attached anticipated project schedule (Exhibit E).
