The City of Durham has identified locations for sidewalk and bus stop improvements as part of the Durham County Transit Plan. The project aims to enhance public transportation by improving walking and biking access to local and regional bus services. The selected CMAR will work collaboratively with the Design Consultant and the City to implement the Transit Emphasis Corridor (TEC) improvements and the Access to Transit Junction Road project. The project budget is $6,900,000, and the design milestones at 15%, 30%, 50%, and 90% completion will serve as project checkpoints. The City of Durham (the "City") is seeking qualified firms to provide Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services for the simultaneous implementation of multiple sidewalk, bus stop, and pedestrian improvement locations funded in part by the Durham County Transit Plan. The CMAR will work closely with the Design Consultant, who will be procured through a separate Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Civil Engineering Services. The project includes coordination with the NC147 study, community engagement, and collaboration with the City and stakeholders to deliver improvements within the allocated budget. Prior experience with FTA projects is desired.
