The work consists of the following: Provide a new +/-3,400SF single story metal framed structure, known as, New Canine Headquarters and Student Training Facility. The project will contain office space, classroom training space, Twelve (12) indoor/ outdoor kennels with veterinarian clinic and two (2) isolation kennels, car washing pad/ station and outdoor training areas with concrete slabs. The project shall be inclusive of all new construction not limited to: Site-work, HVAC, Fire Protection and Electrical systems as shown on drawings and specified herein. Work does not include moveable furniture, desks, and workstations. Bids for this contract shall be submitted in a separate sealed envelope with the name of the contract clearly noted on the outside of the envelope. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total Base Bid, made payable to the Suffolk County Comptroller. Please note that all construction projects over $250,000 advertised will be subject to training requirements pursuant to Section 220-h of the NYS Labor Law. Please note that all construction contracts involving construction, reconstruction, improvement, rehabilitation, installation, alteration, renovation, demolition of, or otherwise providing for any building, facility or physical structure of any kind with a value in excess of $250,000 will be subject to Apprenticeship Training Program requirements pursuant to Article 23, Section 816b of the NYS Labor Law and Suffolk County Resolution No. 1866- 2014, specifically requiring graduate of apprentice(s) in the trade(s) called for within the construction contract within specified time period preceding the bid date of project.
