This project involves the construction of fencing at two locations on the Caribou-Targhee National Forest. See section C.1 for full description. SCOPE OF CONTRACT Pocatello Municipal Watershed Fence This work consists of supplying materials and construction of a 4-strand let-down fence, top 3 strands are barbed wire and bottom wire is smooth (Exhibit 1). Total of 5,702 linear feet or 1.08 miles of 4-strand let-down wire fence. The space interval between t-posts shall be 16 feet at letdown section, the space interval between posts shall be 12 feet at permanent up, and an H brace will be installed approx. every 1/4-mile, end of fence, or change of direction. The space interval between wood stay shall be 8 feet with a wood stay attached to steel post for the four wire segments. Malad Summit Campground Fence This work consists of removal of existing fence, supply materials and construction of a 4-strand fence enclosures; top 3 strands are barbed wire and bottom wire is smooth. Total of 845 linear feet or 0.16 miles of 4-strand wire fence. The space interval between t-posts shall be 16 feet and an H brace will be installed approx. every 1/4-mile. The space interval between wood stay shall be 8 feet with a wood stay attached to steel post for the four wire segments. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT: Between $25,000 and $100,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
