The City of Mayflower, Arkansas will receive written and verbal proposals from qualified contractors to enter into an exclusive agreement with the City to provide weekly residential curbside collection of waste and quarterly household trash (junk) collection. The contract will be for a period of three (3) years with an option to renew for an additional three years provided it is mutually agreeable to both the City and the Contractor, beginning September 1, 2023. The City will require candidates to provide the following: 1. Written proposal from candidates with proposed rates of service for weekly residential curbside waste, quarterly household trash (junk) collection, and services provided to the City of Mayflower. 2. Candidates are requested to give short oral proposals to the Mayflower City Council on Tuesday, August 22, at 7:00 PM. Please furnish 10 copies of written materials. 3. The City will require all bidders to provide a Performance Bond in the amount of $200,000 with their signed contract/bid packets or a letter of credit for $500,000 to show their ability to provide the necessary equipment and service to the City of Mayflower. 4. Bidders will be required to provide proof of insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 in liability insurance and $250,000 in property Damage Insurance. 5. The City reserves the right to refuse or reject all contract/bids and will award the contract/bid to the lowest, responsible bidder. Proposals shall be heard and considered by the Mayflower City Council on August 22, 2023 at 7:00 PM.
