Question Acceptance Deadline 08/14/2023 03:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online No All questions shall be submitted on or before August 14, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. (local time), and should be addressed as follows: Scope of Work/Proposal Content questions shall be e-mailed to Kevin Schneider - Public Works Supervisor - Kschneider@a2gov.org RFP Process and Compliance questions shall be e-mailed to Colin Spencer, Buyer - CSpencer@a2gov.org Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond by a surety licensed and authorized to do business within the State of Michigan, in the amount of 5% of the total of the bid price During the term of this contract, the Contractor and the City will have routine pre-construction meetings. The City will at this point give the Contractor the proposed scope and order of work, along with authorization to begin work. These meetings are intended to give the Contractor an estimated quantity and scope of work. Additional work will also be added throughout the construction season on an asneeded basis. As work is proposed, the City and Contractor shall agree on a date by which all proposed work shall be completed. Unless otherwise agreed upon when the scope of work is provided to the contractor, the date of completion shall be 30 calendar days from when the scope of work is provided to the Contractor. If a scope of work greater than 15% of the contract value is provided to the Contractor at any one time, the Contractor shall be permitted to an extended time of completion. Any work that is not completed within the agreed time, including any extension granted in writing by the Project Supervisor, shall obligate the Contractor to pay to the City, as liquidated damages and not as a penalty, an amount equal to $150.00 for each calendar day of delay in the completion of all the work.
