The Complexity Factor for this project is 0.035. This project requires 22% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts Phase I engineering services are required for all work associated with the preparation of preliminary engineering and environmental studies for US Route 67 from Fulkerson Drive to Crystal Lake Road in Jersey County. Currently, US Route 67 has been identified for pavement replacement in accordance with the Departments Transportation Asset Management Plan (TAMP). The proposed improvement is to replace the existing pavement while staying within the footprint of the existing roadway, where possible. This improvement may involve drainage, ADA, and minor intersection improvements. Public involvement will be required, as well as environmental studies. This work will involve all work necessary for the preparation of the Project Report, including but not limited to, environmental studies and coordination, Location Drainage Study, geometric studies, public involvement using Context Sensitive Solutions, Intersection Design Studies (IDS), traffic management plan, pickup surveys, and all other work necessary to complete Phase I and obtain Design Approval. Phase II engineering services required for this project are anticipated to include the preparation of all Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E documents). This includes roadway plans, maintenance of traffic plans, culvert plans, drainage plans, storm water pollution prevention plan, erosion control plans, and traffic signal plans. Additional items include, but are not limited to, supplemental surveys, pavement design, geotechnical borings/cores and analysis, and all other necessary related work to complete Phase II for final PSE.
