The Complexity Factor for this project is 0. This project requires 23% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. Phase I/II/III engineering services are required for work on various projects associated with maintenance services within District Four. The Consultant will provide Project Management services to develop the maintenance-related projects for the Bureau of Operations associated with a variety of available funds including Contract Maintenance, Day Labor, Bridge Washing, Bridge Painting, and Vegetation Control. The District’s annual maintenance services projects average approximately $8,000,000. Typical projects may include pavement patching, longitudinal joint repair, intermittent pavement resurfacing, culvert repair/replacement, pavement patching, storm sewer repairs, interstate I-74 landscape maintenance, pavement markings, guardrail repairs, shoulder repairs, slope repairs, drainage repairs, bridge painting, bridge washing, distressed tree removal, weed spraying, and others as funds become available to the District. Phase I and Phase II work may consist of data collection, topo surveys, boundary surveys, analysis of existing pavements, pavement patching surveys, hydraulic analyses, crash analyses, and preparation of abbreviated Bridge Condition Reports, abbreviated Project Reports (categorical exclusion projects only), plats and legal descriptions, structure plans, roadway plans, bridge repair plans, culvert repair plans, drainage plans, underdrain installation plans, shoulder repair plans, slope repair plans, temporary and permanent erosion control plans, guardrail repair plans, landscaping plans, pavement marking plans, traffic management and staging plans, summary of quantities and schedules, status of utilities, and any other related work required to complete plans, specifications and estimates as required for submittal for a state letting.
