This is a Pre-Solicitation Notice.A The Salem VA Medical Center, located in Salem, Virginia, has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, parts, supplies, and supervision necessary to perform Asbestos Abatement Services for buildings 11 and 12 of the Salem VA Medical Center. Facilities Management Services, Salem VA Medical Center, 1970 Roanoke Blvd. Salem VA, 24153. The Period of Performance is anticipated to be 270 calendar days from receipt of Notice of Award Work includes asbestos abatement and disposal of existing insulation and re-insulation of pipe, gaskets, elbows, and all fittings to produce a complete and usable insulation system. Approximately four thousand nine hundred seventy-nine feet(4979 ) of pipe is in Building 11 and five thousand ninety-six feet (5096 ) of pipe is in Building 12. Pipe (LF) Building 11 (total) 4979 Building 12 (total) 5096 A The Government intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) and award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract to the responsible vendor whose quote is the most advantageous to the Government under the procedures in FAR 13.5 used in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1901.A Market research indicates that this acquisition will be competed as a Veteran-Owned Small Business set aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 562910- Remediation Services with a small business size standard of $25M.A All interested and responsible parties may submit a quote following solicitation release.
