NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS CITY OF GLENDALE WATERLINE IMPROVEMENTS 59TH AND 67TH AVENUES DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION SERVICES Project No. 232404 (Bid No. 42400016) CONSULTING SERVICES The City of Glendale is seeking a qualified Engineering Firm (Consultant) or team to provide engineering design and construction administration services for the replacement of approximately 10,000 linear feet of aged waterlines located in 59th Avenue, from Glendale Avenue to Northern Avenue and in 67th Avenue, from Bethany Home Road to Glendale Avenue. The construction cost estimate will be developed during the design phase. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The City has identified several locations throughout the city where existing waterline systems have deteriorated, causing operational issues. Improvements will include the rehabilitation and replacement of waterline distribution systems located within public right of way and easements. The project consists of abandoning existing water mains in-place and installing new water line improvements. The work includes, but is not limited to, the replacement of approximately 10,400 linear feet of existing 8-inch to 12-inch water lines, including associated valves, fire hydrants, water service lines, connections, and other associated accessories. The water line improvements are located at the following locations: 59th Avenue Glendale Avenue to Northern Avenue 67th Avenue, from Bethany Home Road to Glendale Avenue SCOPE OF WORK The selected firm (Consultant) will work closely with various City departments, including Engineering, Water Services, and others, as needed, during all phases of the project. The City will utilize the selected Consultant for design, construction cost estimating, and construction administration services.
