Waste Water Treatment Plan - Roof Replacement (719 Old Norwood Road) The project consists of installing a steel roof over existing asphalt shingles. Roof Replacement - Description of work The project consists of installing a steel roof over existing asphalt shingles. The attached drawings A 302, A 303 and A 304 provide roof area and building elevation details. The subject building is an L shaped building with one portion of the building being taller than the other. The tall portion of the building measures 38'-6" x 40'-6" fascia to fascia with the following characteristics: Gable ends at both ends. 3 dormers. 2 roof penetrations. 4 on 12 slope. The lower portion of the building measures 93'-4" x 35'-0" fascia to fascia and has the following characteristics: Gable end at one end and hip roof at the other (where the lower roof meets the taller portion of the building). 5 dormers. 10 roof penetrations. 4 on 12 slope. Roof Replacement - Specifications Remove and dispose of all roof vents. Prepare the ridge for a ridge vent (remove shingles and cut plywood create a vent space measuring 2.5" on either side of the peak). Supply and install 1 x 4 strapping around perimeter of roof and at 24" o.c. over existing shingles. Supply and install 29 gauge Havelock Metals steel roofing, or equivalent (as determined by the Township) to include: Eave and Gable trim. Vented Ridge cap and closures. Valley Flashing. Flashing at intersection with wall. Roof Boots (12 -) Some roof penetrations are large diameter. Required fasteners and sealants. Colour to be determined (from standard colour collection).
