1. General Scope of Work a) The Hilton Heights Community Center is made up of two adjacent buildings located at 500 North Hilton Street and 530 North Hilton Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21229. The successful contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials and supplies required to remove and replace all restroom and breakroom faucets to touchless operation. In addition, remove and replace the flush lever on all restroom urinal and nonpressure assist toilet flush valves and change to touchless operation, at the Hilton Heights Community Center in accordance with terms, conditions and specifications of the project manual and contract documents. 2) Scope of Work: a) The work to be accomplished under this contract is located at the Hilton Heights Community Center, 500 & 530 N. Hilton Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21229 and consists of furnishing all labor, material, equipment and services necessary and incidental to the completion of work as described herein. i) Remove a total of fifteen (15) faucets and related hardware, as needed to facilitate work, located male and female restrooms, and replace them with fifteen (15) new touchless faucets with vandal proof aerators per material list and specifications. ii) Remove a total of two (2) kitchen faucets and related hardware as needed to facilitate work, located in breakrooms, and replace them with two (2) new touchless faucets with vandal proof aerators per material list and specifications. iii) Remove a total of ten (10) handles on manual tankless toilet flush valves in the men's and women's restrooms located at 500 N. Hilton (only) and replace them with Sloan "Sensor Flushometer," for touchless flush operation, per material list and specifications. iv) Remove a total of three (3) handles on manual Urinal flush valves in the men's restrooms, and replace them with Sloan "Sensor Flushometer," for touchless flush operation per material list and specifications. b) Location of work areas are labeled below in the section titled Material Quantity and Location List, but contractor must coordinate with the DGS Maintenance Supervisor or Project Manager for access. c) The water fixture flush valves, faucets & associated components shall be connected into the existing supply piping systems and fixtures. Any modifications required to permit the installation of the equipment specified herein shall be the responsibility of the Contractor and will be included in the Base Bid d) Contractor to install materials per manufacturer's directions and specifications. e) Any and all work performed, all products and materials installed shall be in accordance with the standards established by all local, state and federal agencies, i.e.: i) Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA) ii) Maryland Occupational Safety and Health (MOSH) iii) Basic National Building Code (BOCA) iv) International Plumbing Code (ICC) v) American National Standards Institute (ANSI) f) The contractor will be responsible to obtain and pay for all inspections and any permits necessary for the entire project. g) The Contractor shall sanitize waterlines in accordance with State Health Dept. requirements and other agencies. h) The Contractor will relocate and /or reconfigure any items as necessary, such as, but not limited to piping, valves, conduit or any other obstacles to the installation of the new flush valves and faucets. i) The Contractor shall isolate the main water pipe going to the area to be repaired by locating and shutting off the valve upstream on the main branch that controls the specific area to facilitate the work. j) The Contractor shall cut/remove a piece of piping (if needed) that may interfere with the replacement of the valves and faucets to facilitate the work. k) The Contractor shall re-establish water service to affected areas and verify system working properly and free of any leaks. l) The Contractor shall inspect the work with the DGS Maintenance Supervisor and Project Manager. Also provide a Demonstration and Training to the maintenance staff. m) Pro-Press union/fittings are not allowed for this project. n) The contractor shall repair and restore to its original condition any equipment, materials,or surfaces damaged as a result of their operations during this contract at their own expense. The project consists of furnishing all labor, material, equipment and services necessary and incidental to the completion of work as described herein. Remove a total of fifteen (15) faucets and related hardware, as needed to facilitate work. Remove a total of two (2) kitchen faucets and related hardware as needed to facilitate work. Remove a total of ten (10) handles on manual tankless toilet flush valves. Remove a total of three (3) handles on manual Urinal flush valves. This project is located at 500 and 530 N. The deadline for questions has been established as _8/29/2023___ at __1PM__, to assure that there is enough time to allow the A/E to provide responses and Addendum issuance if necessary.
