Brief Scope: Louisville Water Company is requesting Bids for the furnishing of equipment, tools, material, and labor to perform repair work and capital improvement work on LWC's transmission system on an as-needed basis. External Post-Tensioning Tendons (EPT) repairs and/or improvement work shall include, but not be limited to, repairs or improvements to large diameter prestressed concrete pipe (24-inch to 60-inch). Questions or inquiries relating to this project must be submitted through the Louisville Water Company web-based portal by the date and time indicated for this bid. This contract will be utilized on an as-needed basis, with the contract value based on the unit price bids, therefore no estimated contract amount is provided. The scope of each individual project assignment will determine the cost range for that assignment. Bids will only be accepted from Bidders who have been pre-qualified by the Company in the prequalification category or categories that apply to this Bid. This Bid requires project specific prequalification in External Post-Tensioning Tendon Repair of Large Diameter PCCP Water Mains. Contractors that were previously approved in Project Specific External Post-Tensioning Tendon Repair of Large Diameter PCCP Water Mains Category for Bid 18-74 will not be required to reapply and are approved to bid on this Bid. The Company will award the Contract to the Bidder presenting a Bid that is responsive to the Specifications, is in substantial compliance with the Contract requirements, and presents the lowest and best price for performing the Work making up the base bid and or Bid that Company determines is in the Company's best interest, which may not necessarily be the least expensive Bid Company Small Business Equity (SBE) Program Preference and Local Preference Program applies to this bid and resultant bid award. SBE Program Preference shall apply first One copy of the Bid Documents (includes technical specifications and a full set of plans) will be available at no charge (not including shipping/delivery charges) to Contractors that are pre-qualified with Louisville Water Company in the category(ies) specified for this bid.
