Pasadena is the ninth-largest city in Los Angeles County. It is one of the primary cultural centers of the San Gabriel Valley. The City covers approximately 22.5 square miles, with an average of ten residents per acre. The median age of its residents is approximately 36.9 years. There are over 100,000 jobs in a wide variety of industries in the City of Pasadena. Home to Pasadena's mayor and City Council, this room also hosts meetings for City commissions and committees and a variety of other community organizations. The audiovisual (A/V) system currently in use was originally installed in 2007 as part of Pasadena City Hall Seismic Retrofit. The system was substantially upgraded in 2016 and enhanced in 2020 to accommodate video conferencing capabilities. A/V system upgrading is required once again to introduce operating efficiencies and leverage technology advancements when appropriate.
