The Work under this Contract is to furnish, provide, and install all labor, materials, and equipment, as may be required to complete the Work. This project involves a coordinated effort between the PORT and the CONTRACTOR to conduct maintenance dredging in the PORTs Central Marina. The CONTRACTOR is responsible for all dredging and survey operations and the PORT is responsible for all identified boathouse and boat relocation efforts. Dredging and dredge material placement in the Port Gardner Bay open water disposal site must be performed consistent with the terms of the project permits, regulatory requirements and the Contract. The Base Bid involves dredging six designated areas within the Central Marina's northeastern portion, proceeding in numeric order from Area 1 to Area 6, and includes approximately 8,500 cubic yards. The PORT will handle boathouse removal in certain areas ahead of the CONTRACTORS dredging schedule, and coordination will be needed for boat relocation near Areas 4, 5, and 6. The Contract will be awarded based on the Base Bid (Schedule A). The contract also includes Additive Bid Schedules involving other dredging areas. Additive Bid Schedules (Schedules B through D) may be added to the Contract by the PORT after the Contract award in the priority as indicated by their alphabetic order. The PORTs election of these Additives depends on factors such as permit durations, scheduling, budget, project risks, and close coordination with the CONTRACTOR. The additives include Schedule B: Dredge Area 7 (East Side of H-Dock), involving approximately 3,000 cubic yards; Schedule C: Area 8 (West Side of H-Dock), involving approximately 4,000 cubic yards; and Schedule D: Areas 9 and 10 (Fairways between C-, D-, and E-Docks), involving approximately 4,000 cubic yards. Schedules and coordination will be required for relocating boats and boathouses within these zones. ESTIMATED COST:$400,000 - $1,100,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
