Project Title: La Palma Avenue Sanitary Sewer Improvements from Pauline Street to East Street and from Anna Drive to 365 Feet Easterly and the Street Rehabilitation Improvements from Olive Street to East Street Account No. 591-412-I780-7892; 271-412-L270-7892; 502-251-3743-7865-220010602; RCP 2018-14887; RCP 2021-18072 The work consists of grinding and repaving the asphalt pavement, removal and reconstruction of curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, adjusting manholes, utility vaults, valve boxes and pull boxes to finished grade, replacement of traffic striping, traffic detection devices, raised pavement markers, traffic control, implementation of a Water Pollution Control Program and Best Management Practices, and all appurtenant work necessary to construct the improvements, in accordance with contract documents. Estimated Bid Value: $2,134,100.00 Question Deadline: 08/17/2023 at 2:00 PM PT Project Duration: 120 Working Days Liquidated Damages $2,500.00 per Calendar Day The sanitary sewer improvements consist of constructing two new sections of 18-inch VCP in La Palma Avenue between East Street and Pauline Street, (one section includes a crossing beneath the Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA) right-of-way which will be constructed utilizing trenchless jack-and-bore installation methods to comply with SCRRA requirements), and a new section of 8-inch VCP in La Palma Avenue east of Anna Drive. The work also includes sewer manhole removal, disposal, abandonment, and re-construction, connecting service laterals to the new sewer line, sewer by-passing to maintain sewer service, sheeting, shoring bracing, and trench restoration.
