The project entails the demolition and replacement of the aging Marin County Showcase Theater Seating, in the Marin Showcase Theater. The project includes new construction and renovation of the surrounding area finished surfaces, including Floors, Walls, Speaker system and Speaker Support Structures, per plans and specifications. This project will include structural and electrical engineering elements as well as Hazardous Materials Abatement. The Engineer's estimated cost for the accomplishment of this work is $769,517. Bids are required for the entire work described herein. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class "B" General Building Contractors License at time of bid submittal. A Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount payable to the County of Marin shall accompany the Proposal. Wage and equipment rental rates as determined by the State of California are listed in the Department of Transportation publications entitled "General Prevailing Wage Rates," issued monthly, and "Labor Surcharges and Equipment Rental Rates," issued semi-monthly. To bid on this Project, the Bidder and all subcontractors are required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to the Labor Code. The Bidder's and all subcontractors registration must remain active throughout the term of the Contract.
