The Work shall be performed under a single contract, and shall include, but is not limited to, the following: Repavement of approximately 7600 linear feet of road by means of mill and overlay and by cold in-place recycling, pavement striping and marking, and drainage improvements including concrete gutters, catch basins, and underground SICPP storm water pipe. All BIDS being mailed (including FedEx, UPS, Priority Mail, etc.) or hand-delivered to the Town of Ellicottville shall be directed to Robyn George, Town Clerk at the address listed above in a sealed envelope. The envelope shall be clearly marked on the outside "Town of Ellicottville, Holiday Valley Road Improvements." Failure to follow the above instructions could result in rejection of the proposal. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid made payable to the "Town of Ellicottville". All Bid Bonds shall be on a form acceptable to the Owner, duly executed by the Bidder as Principal and having as surety thereon, a surety company approved by the Owner. No Bidder may withdraw their Bid within sixty (60) days of the Bid Opening. The Contract Documents may be examined at the office of MDA Consulting Engineers, PLLC. Anyone wishing to examine the Contract Documents should be advised to call ahead and confirm times in which the Contract Documents can be examined at the office (716) 699-4650. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven (7) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and Question Deadline 08/10/2023 other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
