This Request for Prequalifications (RFPQ) is an invitation by the Region to prospective respondents to establish a list of prequalified General Contractors who are eligible to participate in a formal competitive process for the provision of General Contractors for 2024 Structural Rehabilitations and Replacements. The Region intends to issue Request for Tenders (RFTs) for various structural culvert, retaining wall and bridge rehabilitations and replacements at various locations throughout the Region of York, to be completed in 2024 and 2025. Step 1 - Prequalification of General Contractors Step 2 - Competitive Procurement Process This Request for Prequalifications (RFPQ) is an invitation by the Region to prospective respondents to participate in Step 1 of the procurement process outlined above. In Step 2 of the procurement process, the Prequalified General Contractors will be invited to submit a bid in response to Request for Tenders (RFTs) for the Deliverables to be completed in 2024 (the 2024 Deliverables) and RFTs for the Deliverables to be completed in 2025 (the 2025 Deliverables). The Region intends to issue approximately ten (10) RFTs for the 2024 Deliverables and approximately ten (10) RFTs for the 2025 Deliverables. Related RFPQ for General Contractors for Structural Rehabilitations and Replacements at Railway Crossings. The Region will be issuing another RFPQ for general contractors for the rehabilitation and replacement of structures at railway crossings to be completed in 2024 and 2025 (the Railway Deliverables), which is numbered RFPQ-1363-23. The Region intends to issue one (1) RFT for the Railway Deliverables, which is anticipated to include the rehabilitation or replacement of two (2) structures - one to be completed in 2024 and the other to be completed in 2025 (the Railway RFT).
