The Town of Champion is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to replace the heating system serving the Town Highway Garage at 20260 County Road 47, Carthage, NY 13619 as described within this proposal. The Town is requesting proposals for a fuel oil based system to replace the existing heating system as well as a propane based system as an alternative price proposal. The Town will select one option from the lowest responsible bidder from the base bid and alternative priced item provided. Each of these requests is generally described as follows: Base Bid - Fuel Oil Heating System Work includes: Demolition and disposal of existing boilers, controls, venting, piping, controls, water heater and accessories; disconnect existing fuel tank piping to exterior wall penetration, provide weather proof seal and abandon feed piping appropriately; disconnect and reconnect all existing electrical connections, shutdown as required to facilitate new work. Furnish and install new boilers (2 total, nominal 360 MBH heating input or otherwise match existing heat input with 5% additional capacity, fuel oil fired), new piping with appropriate zoning, piping and accessory insulation, pumps, valves, controls, strainers, expansion tanks and related appurtenances for a 4- zone heating system. Zones shall include multi-bay garage area, single bay garage area, office/breakroom/bathrooms and water heater. Furnish and install new thermostats and controls for all zones. Furnish and install panel radiators for office/breakroom/bathroom zone. Remove and dispose of existing hanging unit heaters and associated piping; furnish and install new unit heaters in kind. Furnish and install new indirect water heater. Reconnect, furnish and install new fuel oil lines and associated appurtenances and accessories. All controls shall be rated for stand-alone operation. Provide start-up and training for all new equipment and controls. All work furnished and installed under the contract shall be covered under a 1-year warranty provided by the contractor in addition to the standard manufacturer's warranty on all equipment and materials.
