Each bidder must comply with all applicable state and local laws concerning licensing, registration, and regulations of contractors doing business in Florida. In accordance with the statute, contractors must be required to pay wages to laborers and mechanics at a rate not less than the prevailing wages specified in a wage determination made by the Secretary of Labor. In addition, contractors must be required to pay wages not less than once a week. The non-Federal entity must place a copy of the current prevailing wage determination issued by the Department of Labor in each solicitation The streetlights in need of repairs or replacement are located along a stretch of road covering Front Beach Road from North Thomas Drive to South Thomas Drive and South Thomas Drive from Front Beach Road to Thomas Drive. Two entire light structures need replacing, replacement of damaged arms (either single or double), and all 143 need complete rewiring. Florida Power and Light has an agreement with the City to replace all LED fixture heads A Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the total amount of the Bid shall accompany the Bid A PERFORMANCE BOND and a PAYMENT BOND each in the amount of 100 percent of the CONTRACT PRICE, with a corporate surety approved by the OWNER, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Positive efforts as required by the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Program shall be made by Respondents to utilize minority-owned and women-owned businesses as sources of construction, materials, supplies and services. Such efforts must allow these sources the maximum feasible opportunity to compete for sub-agreements and contracts. Documentation of efforts made to utilize minority and women-owned firms must be maintained by all Respondents. The owner's goal for minority-owned business participation as a percentage of construction cost is 10%. The owner's goal for women-owned business participation is 5%.
